What Dreams Are Made Of

Into the silence created with this everlasting fear,
I keep breathing in words I’ll never understand
But it’s here, deep in the dark where I linger to find
Reasons to keep me on this solid ground of yours
I can think of a million stories telling to be heard and are now
Whispering to be found amongst those with no voice
Are you there waiting for the eternal and final sentence
Which will make it perfectly clear for you
And will make you even loose your thoughts over time
As I said before time will only shelter from here with its seconds
Turning it into minutes, hours, days, I need his years
To keep me from falling into this silent desert
Where all of my boundaries have been known to the mind,
Where all of my securities won’t be able to stand
Here on the ground there is no safety,
As I raise my eyes to the endless sky

A pair of wings on my back which carries the burden already,
Won’t be heavier when I reach for the endless chord
As gravity wins it from every single word written down
I will silently leave the room and stare into my own mind
You’ll only see me again up where you first landed but never stayed
And as I reach for the light yearning to be kept untouched,
Isn’t that what dreams are made of?

As silence carves out my words I will remain unspoken,
Kept in riddles to keep me bleeding for the unknown source
Bird, can you show me the way to your nest
And give me the chance to release my freedom to make it my own
Giving me a sense of trying to find this comfort,
Shading around the shadows to find the inner light again
And again and again on this solid ground are not the remains
Of my ever growing dream and the sense to cast fear aside
Can you give me a moment or two, I just found the blinded sun
She won’t be able to shine again and you want me to stay here
Can’t you see that everything but bounded is what I am
Here on the ground there is no safety,
As I raise my eyes to the endless sky

A pair of wings on my back which carries the burden already,
Won’t be heavier when I reach for the endless chord
As gravity wins it from every single word written down
I will silently leave the room and stare into my own mind
You’ll only see me again up where you first landed but never stayed
And as I reach for the light yearning to be kept untouched,
Isn’t that what dreams are made of?

And as I lost my own meaning over the rising earth,
As I wander here in this forest of the great unknown
I yearn to be found by the words which can tell me the secrets
Revealing voices telling me how to find my wings
Out of light and constructed by what I know and what I want
Isn’t that what dreams are made of?
