Could Be Me

She danced around in yellow light,
Falling from stars which caught some endless ways
I return to my old point of view
Leaving behind nothing more than I had
And in between the restless feelings of loosing my heart
There was nothing what would have kept it here

She danced around in some light,
Floating memories of freedom come again
She released the things we’d hold to forget
And follows her footsteps marked back just a past
Falls with more than you have seen,
Comes back with more than there ever will be,
There was nothing what would have kept it here

And she looked up and said,
A smile with a tense to be forlorn
She said : “Some light will fall down, somehow,
And it will be there for you,
Hey, you could be me!”

She danced around the moonlight
Which has kept you awake for too long,
Crawling in over the moments you marked,
And lost when you felt nothing was coming,
This emptiness falls with so much from the endless sky
Hungering for you touch to let it fall
There was nothing what would have kept it here

She danced around the sunshine,
Felt like summer would never leave again
Spreading wings made of silver,
And lost my meaning over the tireless waves
Rivers come, seas stay and I float around in these,
She walked back over the river bend,
There was nothing what would have kept it here

And she looked up and said,
Both hands open for the forlorn things
She said : “Some light will come down, somehow,
And it will be there for you,
Hey, you could be me!”

She closed her eyes and cried,
The night took over for the eyes too long
And my heart was weak she didn’t know
She held back years and I my heart
But when she danced again in this silver light,
She smiled and she said :
“Oh, look at this for once, it’s such a inner voice,
You look just like me, girl,
Hey, you could be me!”
You are, you are me
