Layers Of Blue

From a fair distance into your eyes,
An endless feeling is not even the right amount
Of the vast space it seems to hold silently
Calmth lies around the edges, an embrace
For the remaining blue sky which holds me
And never lets me go at all

From a fair distance into your eyes,
I seem to get lost everytime it opens up
Marking the passing moments with a released soul
Freedom is covering up the fragments in this
Remaining blue sky which follows me hauntingly
But never seeks for me at all

And I linger, I wander here – silently
Moved, passed through every possible road
On the edges still lies my heart
But not too close to a fearing dark

From a fair distance into your eyes,
Words are formed in thoughts but never
Find their way in one sentence making sense
Desire falls through the ceiling of this
Remaining blue sky which collides with me
And I never cried out for a release

From a fair distance into your eyes,
I hide in corners, get lost again without a map
But a moving moment in here feels like home
Careness beats the coldness I felt
And the remaining blue sky keeps me warm
But I never said “thank you”

And from a distance your voice,
Your voice never asked for any of this pain
But still in a moment or two,
It seemed unfair but is there really something
That doesn’t feel unfair at all?
And as my words form their lines again
Just like they should in every possible way
I seem to get a better hold of this

And I linger, wander here – silently
Moved, passed through every possible road
On the edges still lies my heart
But not too close to a fearing dark
