Dreamcatcher

Never was so devoted to one heart
Bind ropes on the end of my lines
To keep you close to me
All the time standing on your beautiful edge
Sometimes I was pretty, sometimes you threw me
The words you spoke danced in that moonlight
I watched every night to the stars, hoping for some kind of sign
Your eyes were hunting me and gave me rest
Through the day and night I fought to see you
Never was so devoted to one heart

My heart turned over and stood on a stick
Wine couldn’t drunk me I gave in
In all of my nights you secretly arrived
Stole all of my dreams and took my hands
You’ve never let go of me
And through the day along I was caught
By the way you had kissed me in that dream

So all I could do was dream
And you were my dreamcatcher

Caught butterflies among the endless way
Walked thousand miles to get to the end
To keep you close to me
My world fell by the steps I made towards you
Sometimes you held me, sometimes you denied me
But as the day tumbled over you
Words spoken in rhyme, shuddered through me, shivered through all my veins
Like wine you kept me awake from lost dreams
As so untouched you were I woke you
Caught butterflies among your endless way

My heart was lost but hopeful, I
Never could resist the feeling
Of getting tempted, your voice from miles away
The restless days you gave where I found
All the rest I’d ever need
And through the day along I was caught
By the way you had kissed me in your dream

So all I could do was dream
And you are my dreamcatcher
