Book of the Ancient Legends

In my dreams I once followed a white angel,
Telling me the steps following the thread which spins my story
Deeply carved in with all of my memories
But somehow the knowledge of all my fears returns in my mind
Willing to give up this eternal second for just a glance in your mind
Everything spoken in riddles, for I am not speaking your language
Forlorn words marked on my skin as ink on our books
But I can’t read the lines you used to say,
Where are the thoughts you used to tell me
In these silent dreams I now follow the wind
The ocean, the river, everything that reminds me of the way
The unfolded legend told me how to crawl over my land

And as I said before, in the book of the ancient legends
Which was opened for you
Can’t you follow the tracks down to the beginning
Where I am waiting and wandering with the key
To close this book

In my silence I once opened up my words,
Inside a black mark on my present past I give in
Deeply craved in with all of my memories
I wander in this forest of unknown, the trees of pure knowledge
Can you tell me where my eyes have gone astray,
Bleeding on my own, I found the balance between yours and mine
And nothing else will ever compare to our words
If I only could make them even with the time we had
Everything familiar lights up in a ray of pure forgotten
To shine as the unknown, willing to carve scars on my mind
With these hollow words on my skin telling the story
I’m sure I never should have opened this book

And as I told you before, in the book of the ancient legends
There was a tale to understand all this
Which was opened for you
Can’t you follow the tracks down to the beginning
Where I am willing to give you the key
To close this book

Around the shore of time I keep watching time stopping
And dying over the cause of my inner voice
I speak up but there are no words that will even take the hollow side
Of this endless pure feeling, filling up the fear I only had
Keeping me away from the senses inside my heart
I can’t speak at all, I think I can only scream
Yell the lingering feeling inside of me away with your burning kiss
Which never should have fallen at all
Around the shore again you say you know the reason of all that happened
But I just couldn’t believe you

And as I told you before, this book of the ancient legends
Telling tales of a past so forlorn but hunting
It was all opened for you
Can’t you follow the tracks down to the beginning
Where you read every single line
And it changed into the meaningless voice of yours
Speaking them as if it were written down lies
Oh I am willing to give you the key
To close this book
