Destiny's Joke

Across the river as gentle it floats
Tries not to hurt you or let you fill
Some thoughts keep on hanging on and find the home they’ve sought for,
But you came closer to my heart in so much confusion
Lost but hopeful I wandered through islands of memories
Full of desire, full of a sense no one else would ever guess
Destiny brought my dreams and whishes into reality
But insecure as I was – it’d be destiny’s joke
