Hunter’s Heart

When strength is carved out of pain,
Unfolding more than you ever thought it could
And now with the silence, your words
Seem to be strong enough after all
Conquer the lines, into the forest of
All those forlorn memories which will never be
Fear can lie closer to a strong heart
Than weakness will when you let it in
And even though in a comfortable moment
It feels easy to lift all the pain by silence
Weakness will make you a hunter on these grounds

I’ll carve my strength out of fear
And any weakness I carry along for now
Set the fear against a wall of letting go
And nothing else will be able to hurt for now

When darkness allows you to see clear,
Unfolding more than you ever thought it could
Follow the tracks leading down onto
Whatever it is that you brought here
There is no denying the anger in the fear
Or even the wordless screams you yell
Where nothing seems to stand still and will
Break any moment of light into something
That will never set against the skyline
Follow that which seems to hunt you
What else would’ve turned you into a hunter?

I’ll carve my strength out of fear
And any weakness I carry along for now
Set the fear against a wall of letting go
And nothing else will be able to hurt for now

There’s fear in understanding,
Weakness in not understanding
And while following your strength
It seems to be so clear at all
Though there’s so much fear
For hunting down what it is you need
Or even that which seems to be forgotten
No one hears the howls of the prey
Unless you open up for all the sounds
Here, where you linger and hunt on these grounds
Letting in the fear and weakness to be
Finally able to see in the dark

I’ll carve my strength out of fear
And any weakness I carry along for now
Set the fear against a wall of letting go
And nothing else will be able to hurt for now
