Morbid Landscape

From these waves from the sun,
Light comes down in a million ways
Drowning to let me breathe those words
For I had never a voice to be heard,
I was lost in silence, wandering in silent
Carving out of the murmurs I lost
Lingering in this morbid landscape,
Once full of dying red roses,
Once full of dying memories,
And paths willing to be crossroads,
Dark embraces its breath and blows here
Over these hills of endless fire
And so out of sight but close enough
There was a light in this dark

Deep red roses marked with this embrace,
Holding these thorns of a shattered past
Not forgotten, but lost and willing
To be forlorn from these lines
Haunted by voices,
And these broken mirrors of my time
You just looked into them and said,
Without fear and doubt;  “I love you”

Away from the sun created in dark,
In a corner of a lonely filled cage
Thought I’d build up there my pride and home,
Walls around my heart so no dark could enter
Without the sense of being forgotten
But I closed my eyes and closed my soul
Lingering in this morbid landscape,
But you came there and sought for my heart
Which no one ever had done before
Guiding me away from my dark home
To lead me close to a warmer sky
So out of sight but close enough
There is an angel in this dark

A deep red past marked with losing memories,
Holding these lines of a shattered world
Haunted by voices,
And these broken mirrors of my time
You just looked into them and said,
Without fear and doubt;  “I love you”

And into the sunshine,
Fading away these borders of my landscape,
For all that you give to me,
You hold my hand, leading me towards the light
You ask only my love in return,
But you deserve so much more than I hope I can give
Give my heart, give my soul to this angel
When I wander in your garden of beauty
Possessed by my only sunshine

You look at me with your silent, warm eyes
And I just looked into them and said;
“I love you, I always will”
