New Sights

What if I get lost in this landscape,
In this scenery I’ve seen so often before?
Wandering in circles, the lost lines
The same path over and over again,
Deep into the woods of which I seem
To know every corner and edge

Is it even possible to see
Something new in every old light
Or would the amount of brightness
Make you blind for it?

What if I swim too far in this sea,
Surrounded by the waves I’ve felt before?
Diving into all the known vast spaces
Every inch of blue which I can recall
Deep into the embracing endlessness
To know every corner and edge

Is it even possible to see
Something new in every old light
Or would the amount of brightness
Make you blind for it?

What if I climb up too high on this mountain,
Far beyond every point I’ve seen before?
Fighting my way to the top
With no fear of heights breaking the unknown
Deeply carved into the stones
To know every corner and edge

Is it even possible to dream
Something new in every old dream
Or would the amount of hope
Make you blind for it?
