Sheets Of Daybreak

I wandered through the night,
Searching for the places
Where light falls around you
Quietly I steel the moments away
Wipe the frightened things away
But I never, never told them to stay
Moonlight, silver and pure
Following the thread of the fearless night
Because time passed and I stood still
On the sheets of daybreak
Morning fell

But lost in the light of sunrise,
Following you heart upon the marks
Of daybreak
Hoping to find, hoping to see

I saw through the empty, hollow words
Trying to fill with meanings I once had,
But my voice kept on speaking riddles,
Silence has said too much tonight
And I never, never told it to stay
Without reason flown away
Because only the appearance would take you away
Out of the starlight that made you whisper
On the sheets of daybreak
Morning fell

And lost in the light of sunrise,
Following your heart upon the marks
Of daybreak
So insecure I hoped to see

But before me a path lightened up
With a smile once tendered to settle down
On your beautiful face,
And I followed it with a white mind
Knowing it’ll lead me far
For once I could touch the ground
Liquid skin below my veins
And I felt time passing when I stood still
Moments marked with your endless breath

Oh lost in the light of sunrise,
Following your heart upon the marks
Of daybreak
So insecure I hoped to find,
Hoping to find, hoping to see

And lost in the light of sunrise
I wandered with your hands against mine,
And daybreak
Once fell on your shoulders
To keep me awake
