Silence, Where Have You Been?
Silence, where have you been?
Closed my eyes, fell in pure darkness
And there was this path used to linger outside,
But deep inside a road which followed my aching heart
Out across the sky some angels fell
It is said to be perfect deep blue nowhere I couldn’t find red
In this room with a thousand windows
Light’s reflected by the inner voice
Over a million rays of these endless surfaces
Made out of the colours I know and I fear
I wandered over a thin line to follow its soul
There was an angel, he said it’s mine,
Whenever I need
So I ran, ran faster, circles, ran over sand
Over ashes of the burning fire,
And maybe fell once or twice
To tell you the words to keep this image
To feed the fantasy I created but somehow lived,
Oh yes I know he was first in the line
Of perfection
So it’s you and me, angel,
Oh silence, where have you been?
Talked to you yesterday,
Said I didn’t need you oh we both know I do
So I stood still
Closed my heart, please tell me kind words I should do
I scream and I fall, I yell try to shout out my mind
In this empty cage where longing has found all the reasons
And it falls nearer where I created the inner wall
In this room with a thousand windows
It’s now a sunrise setting down on the pale ground
My breath got lost just a moment ago,
All these glass shattered on the skin of beauty
It is said to be perfect light and nowhere I could find me,
I lingered over this thin ice to follow it’s desire
Endless I give myself to the restless morning
There was an angel, he said it’s mine
All this light from the sky
So I ran, ran faster, circles, ran over sand
Over ashes of the burning fire,
And maybe fell once or twice
Oh yes I do know, I know he was first in the line,
But I, oh yes I know I’ve asked time to hurry
In this line of perfection
So it’s you and me angel,
With this little secret light
Silence where have you been?
Silence, where have you been?
