Silent Fire

It was lit silently, moving quiet
But found its shelter on our surfaces
To never let go of what seems to be real
And whatever keeps track of my dreams in silence
But without a sound it was embraced warmly,
A comforting, endless and soothing moment
So as it wrapped itself in all that was given
It crawled beneath our veins into the hearts
Dying for their own shelter only to be given
Throughout its carefully placed existence

And it released the inner storm of
Confusion, attraction lying in wait for my silence
A hungering touch from the deeply lost moments
Feelings of passing hours made their mark,
And it moved silently across this landscape

It burned wildly, moving fast
But maintained an inner light so strong
To never let go of what seems to be real
Without words it came done hiding from corners,
From the small place it sheltered carefully
And made sure the flames were dancing higher
So sure of its own existence it made its mark
It crawled beneath our veins into the hearts
Releasing the inner fires held by some frozen hands
Which once held its carefully placed existence

And it made sure the inner storm
Would never end and release so much more
A hungering touch from the deeply lost moments
Feelings of losing all my hours followed
By the ongoing silence broken by one sound

It warmed both our hearts,
Releasing the comfort we gave it first
Its shelter placed on a forgiven landscape
The storm still waving from moment to moment
Just to create another memory it will never let go
Slowly, with all its light and warm embrace
Making sure the fire reaches higher and higher

And it made sure the inner storm
Got through every inch of us, every breath
A hungering touch from the deeply lost moments
Feelings of desire passing along silently
And keeping the silent fire alive
