Skyless Stars

One of the stars on this sky fell down
But no one ever saw it going
And no one has seen it since
It was my favourite, a part of the sky
That I had visited before
A void now is left behind as I
Watch the other skies for a sign
And the clouds reappear with the sun
Any given light is now covered up

With closed eyes looking for the sense,
Darkness won’t you let me know
When this all feels like something I’ve seen before
Seems that’s the only way in which
Things can pass or fall at all

One of the stars on this sky fell down
Did it hold too long on something there
Which might have never been there?
Maybe its embrace fell towards a cold,
Melting it with its own presence
Until the emptiness remains as a wish
And nothing can fill the desire to glow
But the other ones will replace
Any given light is now covered up

With closed eyes looking for the change
Darkness, won’t you let me know
When the importance of this heart is something
That can be the only way ever in which
Things can pass or fall at all

One of the stars on this sky fell down
But no one ever saw it going
And who did just made a silent wish
To hush the sense of not having control at all
My heart just jumped and fell down
Embraced with a glow of a forgotten light
And no one has seen it since
